The Procedure
What to expect, step by step
- Step 1
Consultation & records
We examine your teeth, bite and gums, take photos and X-rays, and capture impressions or a digital scan to plan your tooth movements.
- Step 2
Plan & appliance choice
You receive a clear comparison of metal braces, ceramic braces and clear aligners, including the estimated duration, visits and cost.
- Step 3
Fitting your braces or aligners
Braces are carefully bonded to each tooth and connected with an archwire, or your first set of custom aligners is delivered with full wear instructions.
- Step 4
Adjustments & retention
You return every four to eight weeks for adjustments or new aligners. Once your teeth are in position, the appliance is removed and a retainer maintains the result.

Common questions
How long will I need to wear braces or aligners?
Mild cases may take six to twelve months. More complex bite corrections often take eighteen to twenty-four months. We give you a realistic timeline at your assessment.
Do braces hurt?
Fitting braces is not painful. Your teeth may feel tender for a few days after placement and after each adjustment; soft foods and simple pain relief usually manage this well.
Can adults get braces or aligners?
Yes. Many of our patients are adults. As long as your teeth and gums are healthy, orthodontic treatment can be effective at any age.
How do I care for my braces or aligners?
Brush after every meal, floss daily using the tools we provide, and avoid hard or sticky foods that can damage brackets. Aligners should be removed for eating and drinking anything other than water.
