The Procedure
What to expect, step by step
- Step 1
Orthodontic assessment
We examine your teeth and bite, take photographs, X-rays and impressions or a digital scan, and discuss what you would like to change.
- Step 2
Treatment plan & appliance choice
You receive an estimated duration, the expected result and a comparison of braces versus clear aligners, including full pricing and payment options.
- Step 3
Fitting your appliance
Braces are bonded to the teeth and connected with an archwire, or your first set of custom aligners is delivered with wear instructions. Neither appointment requires drilling.
- Step 4
Adjustments & retention
You return every four to eight weeks for adjustments or new aligners. Once the teeth are in position the appliance is removed and a retainer holds the result.

Common questions
How long does orthodontic treatment take?
Mild alignment cases can finish in six to twelve months. Comprehensive bite correction usually takes eighteen to twenty-four months, and we give you a realistic estimate at your assessment.
Do braces hurt?
Fitting braces is not painful. Your teeth may feel tender for two to three days after placement and after each adjustment; soft foods and simple pain relief are usually enough.
Braces or clear aligners — which is better?
Braces handle complex movements and need no discipline from the patient. Aligners are removable and nearly invisible but must be worn 20 to 22 hours a day. We will tell you honestly which suits your case.
Will I need a retainer afterwards?
Yes. Teeth naturally drift, so a fixed or removable retainer after treatment is essential to keep your result. We include a retainer plan in every case.
