The Procedure
What to expect, step by step
- Step 1
Call or walk in
Phone our clinic and describe your symptoms. We will assess urgency and book the earliest available appointment, often the same day.
- Step 2
Emergency examination & diagnosis
We examine the affected area, take X-rays if needed and explain what is causing the problem and what treatment is required.
- Step 3
Immediate stabilisation
We relieve pain, control bleeding or infection, and carry out any urgent treatment such as a filling, temporary crown or drainage.
- Step 4
Follow-up plan
Once stable, we schedule any further care — such as a permanent restoration, root canal or extraction — and give you clear home-care instructions.

FAQ
Common questions
What should I do if I knock out a tooth?
Hold the tooth by the crown, rinse it gently with milk or saline if dirty, and try to place it back in the socket. If that is not possible, keep it in milk or saliva and come to the clinic immediately — time is critical.
Can I walk in without an appointment?
We recommend calling first so we can prepare for your arrival and advise on immediate steps. However, we do accept walk-ins for urgent emergencies when space allows.
Is a toothache always an emergency?
Not every ache is urgent, but severe, throbbing pain, pain with swelling or pain after trauma should be assessed quickly to prevent complications.
What if my emergency happens after hours?
Call our clinic number. If we are closed, the recorded message or on-call team will guide you on whether to wait for the next opening or visit an emergency medical facility.
